September 2016 Online Income Report

Welcome to my September 2016 monthly income report!

Each month I will share a detailed report on how much income each of my online businesses has made. It doesn’t matter if its been a great month or a terrible month, ill put the details here in these reports.

This will not only hold me accountable and keep me motivated but hopefully it will also inspire others to take action towards their goals since im essentially starting from nothing. My reports may be small to start but hopefully that will change as I continue to grow as an online entrepreneur.

Lastly as a point of reference my online income from the first income report in January 2014 was $356.70 lets see how that changes moving forward.

Summary

There are several interesting updates this month. First of all I was able to participate in a new clickbank product launch. There were both positive and negative aspects of my progress but lets start with the positive.

  1. I was able to add lots of new youtube subscribers most likely thanks to the added traffic I got from participating in the launch.
  2. I finally have some clickbank income to put up on the board.

I wish there was more positive to report but a lot went wrong this month which you’ll see below. Now lets move onto the negatives.

  1. During the first week of a launch im typically waiting for the product to arrive so I can get started with the testing so I only got 2 sales the first week which is expected. During the second week when I started my initial push to get sales I ended up with 0. I kept getting emails from people stating they ordered thru me but it wasn’t showing up in my clickbank back office. After checking the links on my site I found that every one of them had been replaced with someone elses affiliate link. I have no idea how this happened as I tested them all after posting them. I emailed clickbank but they said they could do nothing. Long story short someone else got ALL of my week 2 sales which is typically my best week. Check the picture below and you’ll see that I got 0 sales during week 2.

  1. After the above issue i fixed my links and sales starting coming in the next week. I was posting videos, getting questions and all was good, until Sunday the 25th that is. I had an automatic windows update and after opening my mt4 on Monday I saw that the product I was reviewing was no longer working. I did a screen share with product support and they found that the culprit was one of the windows updates. They began working on a patch as I was one of several people who had this problem. I have been unable to put out any new videos between Monday the 26th and Friday the 30th and as a result I have gotten 0 sales this week. Which you’ll notice in the picture below.

There you have it folks, 2 positives and 2 negatives. The problem is the negatives outweigh the positives in this instance. In spite of all of these issues and lost sales I remain motivated to continue pushing forward. I’ll use this as a learning experience and I wont make the same mistakes next time. I honestly believe its possible for me to hit $5,000 or higher in the first 30 days of the next product launch I participate in. The key now is to stay motivated, not get discouraged and keep pushing forward.

Moving onto publishing income. I wish i had good news to report but another 1 of my books was flagged and removed. Once again i provided proof that my books passed copyscape and once again amazon told me to talk to the person who flagged my book. I tried but they never responded and gave no reason for flagging the book. The majority of my $300 per month was coming from this book so my publishing income is going to be down significantly going forward. What bothers me most is that anyone can flag my book for removal and i have no recourse whatsoever. Amazon simply removes it and tells me to work it out with the accuser. Whats to stop my competition from simply flagging all of my books, nothing. Whats to stop my competition from leaving negative reviews on all of my books or paying someone to, nothing. The fact that my work can be so easily taken away has caused me to reevaluate this business venture. Im going to try releasing a few fiction books and if that doesnt work out for me i’m just going to move on.

youtube-subsLast month I had 1,411 youtube subscribers and im currently at 1,494. I had hoped to hit 1500 by the end of this month but i’m sure i’ll get there early next week. I would ideally like to be adding around 250 subs per month but at the moment i have no idea how to get there so i’ll just be happy with this growth.

getresponseAt the end of last month i had 2,063 email subs and now i have 2054. This number is down slightly because of the product launch i participated in. I always get a few unsubscribes when i send out emails and i havent started buying solos again so the numbers arent replenished. Before the next product launch i do  i want to have at least 3,000 subs so i can see how big of a difference it makes with sales.

As a reminder my next online income goal is $7,000 in one month. My next youtube subscriber goal is 2000 subscribers and my next email subscriber goal is 3000. The September numbers are below. I know dips in income are to be expected but it still sucks seeing it on paper.
